I am an artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the city of Lafayette to be exact. After decades of a career in high tech software marketing, I’m happily dedicating my time to my passion for oil painting. So happily!
As a mother of twin boys, who are honestly more like twin men off to college, I’m taking advantage of this time to study new techniques, subjects and styles of painting, currently learning with a great instructor and a wonderful group of artists.
I love to present art in component parts, adding up to more than their sum. You will see this in my paintings Bridge, Tree Deconstructed, Succulents, and Kites. Somehow this is how I visualize the stories I want to tell with these works.
My newly found focus on right brain activities includes exploration of topics in nature, man-made industrial structures and portrait painting.
See below for my photo inspirations for my work.

Could be a soft comforter . . . or a boiling pot, but was actually the sky over Eugene Oregon on a recent weekend.
